product description
Monolithic insulation joints are welded, prefabricated, three-piece joints used on pipelines to provide electrical isolation to prevent corrosion. They provide current dispersion on the cathodic protection system. They provide electrical isolation between the pipeline section and adjacent structures and pipelines.
The purpose of installing insulated joints on gas and oil pipelines is to ensure electrical isolation between sections of the pipeline and to prevent harmful electrochemical interactions between the sections. Insulation joints are also used to ensure effective current dispersion on cathodic protection systems.
