product description
Electric ball valves, also called motorized ball valves, play a crucial role in regulating the flow of a medium, be it liquid or gas, using a rotating ball featuring an orifice. The electric actuator, directly linked to the ball valve stem, facilitates a quarter-turn rotation of the ball, thereby controlling the flow. These valves consist primarily of two components: the electric actuator (servo motor) and the ball valve.
The simplicity of operation, reliability, extended service life, and versatile applications make electric ball valves among the most widely used valves. Particularly well-suited for remote control and automation applications, they are commonly employed in scenarios like motorized water ball valves or heating installations. Electric ball valves can be managed in various modes, including open/closed (2-way), 3-point control, or modulating.
The integration of motorized actuators and ball valves involves mounting them together, typically utilizing a standard flange conforming to ISO 5211. This standardized approach allows for the interchangeability of motorized actuators and ball valves by employing components with the same flange size. Motorized ball valves are offered in an extensive range of housings and sizes, providing flexibility to choose the most suitable option for a given application.

Motorized ball valves operate in a similar manner to manual ball valves. A hole in the center of the ball mounted in the valve body is used to control the flow. The hole in an open ball valve is in the same direction as the flow of water. Turning the ball vertically will close the valve and stop the flow of media. Motorized ball valves have a motor that can be turned on behalf of the valve.
Suitable for high flow rates
Larger Cv value than solenoid valves
Can be operated in automated systems
Affordable valve type
Easy to install
Lower operating costs than solenoid valves (no need to supply power once the ball is in the desired position)
Does not burn out as easily as solenoid valves
Waterproof hammers
